INSTRUCTOR GALLERY - David Muench

David Muench seeks out images that contain "ancient light" and "primeval forces." He has an endless fascination with and reverence of Nature that he gladly shares with his pupils. In his words: "Intense creative awareness, along with the patience in waiting for dramatic forms of sun and shadow, unusual light, or a decisive moment of mood, challenge my mind's eye toward achieving, what I like to call, a timeless moment."

Combining immense talent with great dedication and a sensitive spirit, he uses his art to draw attention to the importance of preserving what is wild in its natural state. He has published three books with Arizona Highways magazine, including Eternal Desert, David Muench's Arizona and Vast & Intimate. Other new books include Windsong, and expected in late 2005 is Our National Parks.
