INSTRUCTOR GALLERY - Gary Ladd

Accomplished landscape photographer Gary Ladd leads hikes, backpack trips and photography workshops for a number of organizations, with his expertise in geology an added bonus for his students. He specializes in photographing the sandstone, slickrock and wilderness areas of Northern Arizona and Southern Utah, where his explorations have led to an unmatched familiarity with the Colorado River watershed. His talent is showcased in books such as Grand Canyon: Time Below the Rim, Lake Powell and his latest, Canyon Light. Once an employee of the Kitt Peak National Observatory, Gary's stunning image of an electrical storm over the Observatory effectively launched his photographic career and is now on display at the Smithsonian Institution.
