Happy Holidays to one and all. We hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and that your holiday season has been full of joy, laughter and special memories.
PHOTOGRAPHER'S WHALES & WILDLIFE CRUISE
JANUARY 13-20, 2007
If anyone wants to register for the Photographer's Whales & Wildlife workshop, you should do so as soon as possible. We'll be sending out the photographer's recommended equipment list in the next week or two. The Sea of Cortés and Baja hold many wonders - some of which are found nowhere else on earth. Photography and camera lovers will be amazed at the diversity of images possible.
On this trip you'll be able to snorkel with seals, kayak in deep turquoise waters, and get feedback on how to take effective photographs from Arizona Highways photographer Kerrick James. Here's a link to the workshop if you need more information:

SOLD OUT WORKSHOPS
Workshop sales have been proceeding at a tremendous pace. We recently sold out Death Valley and Big Bend, the May Rafting trip sold out again after we had some cancellations, and the April Hopi Cultural Tour only has 2 spaces remaining. Most of Leroy DeJolie's workshops are close to selling out, also. So don't hold off signing up if you can avoid it. We'd hate to have you miss out!
GEORGE LEPP VISIT TO PHOENIX AREA
Canon USA is sending one of their "Explorers of Light", George Lepp, to speak in Scottsdale, Arizona on Saturday, March 3rd, 2007. He is visiting the area thanks to Scottsdale's "Digital Imaging Group" (aka DIG). George has said of the event: "My program will be similar to ones I'm doing around the country for Outdoor Photographer. It will be a combination of outdoor photography info and digital photography tips. I will cover such things as macro, wildlife, and landscape photography with new techniques like Helicon Focus, HDR, contrast control, and of course panoramas. I'll have some new info on programs for taking care of noise in an image and interpolating images for very large prints. I will have print examples to show what the new Canon large format printers can do."
If you live in the Scottsdale/Phoenix area or are planning to be in the area on that date, you may wish to attend. Because this is non-profit event, the price is low which means the event could sell out quickly. You can reserve a seat by sending a check and registration form to the event organizers. The information is posted online here:
