WEEKEND WORKSHOP - Policy and Guidelines

We encourage you to review our policies as outlined below before registering for a workshop.

Deposits

Full payment is required upon registration.

Cancellation Policy

Refunds will only be issued if cancellation notice is received 2 weeks or more prior to the workshop.

There are NO EXCEPTIONS TO THIS POLICY, even for medical emergencies. All cancellation requests must be in writing and received either by US mail or by fax. E-mail is not acceptable. We encourage participants to purchase refundable airline tickets and trip cancellation insurance. We recommend Travelex, and their brochure will be sent to registered participants with other confirmation materials.

Should Friends cancel a scheduled workshop, you will have the choice of receiving a full refund or of transferring to another workshop that has space available. We are not, however, liable for expenses incurred such as airfare or accommodations, and for this reason also recommend the purchase of trip insurance.

Changes to the Itinerary

In order to offer you the finest experience possible, Friends of Arizona Highways reserves the right to make changes to the published itinerary whenever, in our judgment, conditions warrant it. Depending on the workshop, we may make changes to counter the effects of impassable roads, variable weather, flower or fall color conditions, or water levels of the lakes and rivers we propose to visit. Most changes are made to incorporate unexpected and exciting photographic opportunities, and are always intended to make your experience with us the best possible.

Health & Physical Considerations

Most workshops are not considered strenuous, however participants should be able to walk or climb to workshop locations in areas where there are no dedicated paths, and must be able to carry their own equipment. If you currently have, or have had in the past, any physical condition or required medications please note them on the health questionnaire you will receive. It is extremely important for the escort and photographer to be aware of any health condition before the workshop begins. If you have any concerns about your ability to participate on a particular workshop, please call our office before reserving a space.
