Cost: $135
Locations: Arizona Highways office and Phoenix Zoo
Dick George has
been photographing animals for over 25 years, as the Phoenix
Zoo photographer and for publications such as Arizona
Highways and Smithsonian magazine. On this workshop
you'll get Dick’s expert advice on the best places and
times of day to photograph animals, as
well as hints on what equipment and tactics to use.
This hands-on workshop begins with a Friday evening instructional
class and slide show from 6-8pm at the Arizona Highways office.
The next morning, Saturday, the class will meet at 9am for
an on-location shoot at the Phoenix Zoo. After a morning of enjoying this great location
we will have lunch nearby. After
lunch, we will conduct a critique of our morning’s work. Digital photographers will have photos from the zoo itself critiqued. Film users can bring a few examples of past work to share with the group.
