DAY
ONE

Meet at the Copper Queen at noon for an orientation, including
a slideshow presentation by the
photographer and notes about interview etiquette, "seeing
light", model releases & expectations for the workshop.
*
Jeep tour of Bisbee.
*
Group photo session in town. In 2005 the main shoot was
at a hat-maker's shop, interviewing and photographing the
people at work, then taking to the streets.
DAY
TWO
*
Shoot assignments throughout the town in the morning. Potentially
visit the Arizona Cactus and Succulent Research Center.
* Classroom review &
image critique in the afternoon.
* Shoot assignments
throughout the town in the evening. In 2005 a mural artist
and local storyteller were our main subjects.
DAY
THREE
*
Shoot assignments throughout the town in the morning, with
a potential stop at the Farmer's Market.
* Afternoon image critique
and classroom session on image transfer and basic Photoshop
techniques.
*
Shoot assignments throughout the town in the evening. In
2005 a bead maker was our main focus, photographing her
during the firing of her beads.
DAY
FOUR
* Review & critique
after breakfast
*
Slide show of best work.
* Lunch and farewells.
* End at 1-2pm.
Please note that
transportation is not included in the price of this workshop.
Participants may fly into Phoenix or Tucson and rent cars
there. This leaves us all flexible to explore Bisbee
on our own as we are put "on assignment" by our
intrepid photographer!
