PHOTO WORKSHOP - Glacier National Park

Kerrick Jameswith Kerrick James
August 7 - 11, 2006
Cost: $1,995

Join Kerrick James for an exploration of the wonder of the northern Rockies, Glacier National Park in Montana.

Nestled against our nation's northern border is a wonderland of lakes, high meadows, serrated peaks, and yes, some glaciers still survive. This wilderness boasts wildflowers and wildlife galore in summer, and is dotted with startling aqua-colored lakes and cascading waterfalls that are perfect fare for photographers' consumption.
Ron York
Be prepared to do a number of moderately strenuous hikes off the Going-To-The-Sun Road in order to get to the best spots for flowers, waterfalls and wildlife. You’ll also venture up the trail to Grinnell Lake, as well as photographing favorite locations like McDonald Lake and Wild Goose Island. Our Highline Trail hike will take us along the west face of the Continental Divide, affording spectacular views of the park below.

Ron York You'll want to bring the whole gamut of wide angle, telephoto and macro lenses for this varied landscape. We hope to bring back portraits of bighorn sheep, goats, eagles, and potentially, the grizzly. You may want to bring binoculars and a spotting scope, as well as your camera!Kerrick James

Kerrick James NOTE: This workshop will be conducted at elevations between 3,000 to 6,600 feet. We encourage you to take your time getting acclimated to the location. Be sure to drink plenty of water, and also bring a hat and sunscreen.
