Day
One
*
Meet at noon at the Menucha Retreat Center, 45 minutes
east of Portland.
* Check out camera equipment.
Instructor will go through camera menus at length.
* Test shoot at Sherrard
Point and Women's Forum to capture late afternoon light.
Day Two
*
Early morning shoot at Multnomah Falls, Ponytail Falls
and Wahkeena Falls. Lunch at Multnomah Falls.
* Afternoon lab session
includes lectures on Photoshop and enhancing images, as well
as open lab time with instructor circulating to help students.
* Sunset shoot in the
Columbia River Gorge. Those wishing to travel to a different
location are free to do so, but should inform the escort of
their intention to leave the group.
Day Three
*
More shooting in the Columbia River Gorge, towards
the Hood River area
* Afternoon session spent
transferring and enhancing images
* Drive to Cannon Beach
on the Oregon Coast for sunset.
Day
Four
*
Sunrise and early light on Haystack Rock.
* Afternoon lab session
includes lectures on advanced Photoshop techniques and RAW
files, as well as open lab time with instructor circulating
to help students.
* Review and critique
of everyone's best images.
* Sunset at Indian Beach.
* Farewell group dinner.
Day Five
*
Sunrise at Ecola State Park.
* After breakfast, turn
in camera equipment and burn final images to disc.
* The workshop ends at
check-out time, giving people time to drive back to Portland
to fly home.
BASIC PHOTOSHOP
AND COMPUTER EXPERIENCE IS RECOMMENDED.
