with Jim Steinberg
September 20 - 24, 2007
Cost: $1,725
Colorado is known
for its beautiful fall color, and this region is spectacular
at this time of year! Groves of yellow aspen trees and fire-red
scrub oak provide colorful accents along the slopes of the
beautiful San Juan and Sneffel mountain ranges, and photo
opportunities will abound as we wander below the spectacular
mountain peaks. Jim is thoroughly familiar with this region,
and will take us to special places where we can photograph
the surrounding
views through weathered windows and rustic doorframes. Whether
you choose to fill your foregrounds with long-abandoned mining
equipment or fields of fall color, the results will be worthwhile.
Boarding Jeeps for
several of our outings, we'll be escorted through the surrounding
alpine meadows with picturesque views at every turn in the
road. Whether it's over the Last Dollar Road or
up the Dallas Divide, this workshop will take us through open
fields rich with stands of quaking aspen, over some of the
Colorado Rockies' most photogenic mountain passes and should
give us ample opportunity to marvel at Mother Nature's autumnal
display.
