Explore
Mexico’s Sea of Cortés
Cruise
West’s ship drops anchor in a secluded cove so
you can kayak in the crystalline waters. On another day, you
might venture out on a small panga boat to view the barnacled
back of a gray whale, as gentle as she is enormous. On
yet another, you explore the world beneath the surface, swimming
with playful
sea lions and coming face-to-face with tropical fish all the
colors of the rainbow.
In this sparsely populated land, roads can take you only so
far – usually to the tourist-clogged resorts and larger
towns. Cruise West’s 102-guest Spirit of Endeavour
takes you instead to remote islands of this spectacular,
unforgettable region, lingering wherever Mother Nature decides
to provide
the day’s entertainment.
The Sea of Cortés and Baja hold many wonders - some
of which are found nowhere else on earth. Photography and
camera lovers will be amazed at the diversity of images possible.
Even better, outdoor and wildlife photographer Kerrick
James will be onboard as a guest lecturer to offer suggestions on unique places
to take pictures, will present
slide-show seminars, and be on hand to answer guests’ photography questions.
Kerrick has photographed for over 20 years, with his work
appearing
in more than 50 travel magazines, including Arizona
Highways magazine. Read his
bio here.
