TENTATIVE ITINERARY
Day One
- The workshop begins at noon at our Sedona hotel with lunch, followed by an introductory presentation on “Processing Raw Files.”
- We’ll photograph Cathedral Rock at sunset from famous Red Rock Crossing.
- For those interested in extra practice, the lab is available until 10pm tonight.
Day Two
- Sunrise will find us in the Munds Mountain Wilderness Area, with the recognizable rock formations of Courthouse Butte and Bell Rock as our subjects.
- After breakfast, we’ll spend the rest of the morning and most of the afternoon learning about “Image Adjustments” and “Photoshop Workflow” through short presentations and hands-on lab work.
- For sunset, we’ll do a short, moderate 1.6 mile hike to photograph Devil’s Bridge, the largest natural bridge in Sedona area.
- For those interested in extra practice, the lab is again available until 10pm tonight.
Day 3
- In hopes of capturing beautiful fall colors, we’ll spend the entire morning photographing scenic locations along Oak Creek and the West Fork of the Oak Creek.
- The afternoon will be spent in the lab learning and practicing “Layer Masks and Gradients” and “Prepping Images for Printing.” Steve will also conduct a critique of the participants work done thus far in the seminar.
- After our group’s farewell dinner, the lab is open until 10pm tonight for those interested in extra practice.
Day 4
- For sunrise, we’ll photograph Cathedral Rock from Back of Beyond Road to get a different view of this classic Sedona rock formation.
- After breakfast, our final lab will focus on final Photoshop Tips & Tricks, critique, and a Question and Answer session.
- The workshop will conclude around noon.
