Day One
- Meet at our local pickup spot at 7:30am in order to leave
at 8am
- One stop in Tucson at approximately 10am to pick up more
participants.
- Travel to the little town of Portal, AZ, tucked into
the Chiricahua Mountains in the southeastern corner of the
state.
- Shoot late afternoon light in the Cave Creek/ Portal
area.
- Spend the night at the Portal Peak Lodge.
Day Two
- Spend the full day in Cave Creek Canyon photographing
the spectacular color of maple and sycamore trees.
- Evening slide presentation and photography talk at the
Lodge.
Day Three
- After breakfast we'll head around the park to Sunglow
Guest Ranch for lunch and to check-in.
- Explore the Chiricahua National Monument in the late
evening and for sunset. Stops at Massai Point, Faraway Ranch
and Sugarloaf Mountain are likely.
Day Four
- Sunrise and early AM at Chiricahua National Monument.
- Full day spent in the park with box lunches provided.
Day Five
- Leave to return to Phoenix
- We'll likely stop at Cochise Stronghold or the San Pedro
River to catch early light.
