PHOTO WORKSHOP - Glacier National Park

Day One

* The workshop begins at noon at our Kalispell, MT hotel with lunch, followed by a workshop orientation, slide presentation, and critique session.

* Early afternoon, we'll drive into Glacier National Park, with possible stops at Avalanche Creek and Logan Pass.

* We'll photograph Wild Goose Island & St. Mary Lake at sunset and spend the evening at Rising Sun Motor Inn.

Day Two

* We will start the morning with a different look at Wild Goose Island & St. Mary Lake at sunrise.

* The highlight of the day will be a hike along the Highline Trail, capturing scenic vistas, wildflowers, and wildlife we find along the trail.

* Sunset will find us at Swiftcurrent Lake in the Many Glacier area.

* The historic Many Glacier Lodge will be our resting place this evening.

Ron YorkDay Three

* Sunrise at Swiftcurrent Lake will give us a different look at this picturesque location.

* We'll cross Swiftcurrent and Josephine Lakes by boat to start a spectacular hike to Upper Grinnell Lake. We’ll enjoy a box lunch trailside.

* In late afternoon light, we’ll head to Fishercap Lake, Redrock Falls, or Swiftcurrent Lake to capture mountain reflections and waterfalls in the Many Glacier area.

*We’ll stay at the Swiftcurrent Lodge this evening.

Kerrick JamesDay Four

* Sunrise will find us at Swiftcurrent Falls where the early morning light reflects off this fast moving waterfall.

* Our second critique session will be conducted this morning at Many Glacier Lodge.

* Then it’s on to the Logan Pass area, where we’ll hike to the Hidden Lake Overlook in hopes of catching abundant wildflowers and wildlife.

* Late afternoon will be spent exploring areas off the famous Going-to-the-Sun road.

* Our stay tonight is in the cozy, historic Lake McDonald Cabins.

Ron YorkDay Five

*We’ll photograph sunrise along Lake McDonald, the largest lake in Glacier National Park.

* During the day, the photographer may decide to explore more areas along the Going-to-the-Sun Road or stay near Lake McDonald for more prime photo opportunities.

* The workshop ends in the early evening back in Kalispell, MT.
