PHOTO WORKSHOP - Bosque & White Sands

with Bruce Taubert
November 10-14, 2010
Cost: $1,995
Register by: September 10, 2010

© Instructor Bruce TaubertJoin wildlife and nature photographer Bruce Taubert for an unparalleled opportunity to photograph the best New Mexico has to offer. Two days will be spent in the birder's paradise of Bosque del Apache, where you can expect to see tens of thousands of snow geese, sand hill cranes and ducks that make this wetland their winter home.

© Instructor Bruce TaubertWe’ll arrive at Bosque as the last rays of light color the fields and trees in a rich warm glow. You can hear the approaching cacophony of sounds echoing across the valley. Flights of geese and cranes soar above, then settle in various ponds for the night. In the cold chill of the early morning we will be ready to capture the lift-off of masses of birds.

© Instructor Bruce TaubertBruce will share his knowledge and techniques of how he captures birds in flight, and will also explain how to include habitat in your compositions to create a more appealing image. From the movement and activity of Bosque we’ll head south to White Sands National Monument. Here you will encounter serene expanses of curvaceous desert, punctuated with yuccas and other desert plants. These brilliant white gypsum dunes are ever changing — growing and cresting like a relentless tide. A full moon over the dunes will be a spectacular bonus during your stay.
