This workshop is truly a “Rocky Mountain High” with its nonstop panoramic views and mountain passes. Working our way around Colorado's western slope and San Juan Mountains, we’ll stop at so many scenic locations you might lose count. From the unsurpassed alpine wildflowers of the Crested Butte area to the spectacular spires of the Sneffles Range, you will have incredible scenes to photograph and enjoy.
In addition to alpine meadows filled with thousands of multi-colored wildflowers, you'll have opportunities to photograph historic buildings in the mining towns of Crested Butte, Ouray and Telluride—each set like a jewel at the head of its own lush, green valley, beneath a backdrop of snow-capped peaks.
Jim Steinberg, who’s spent 35 years exploring Colorado and who’s known for his easy-going and effective teaching style, will be your expert guide to see and photograph these majestic Colorado landscapes.
SPECIAL
EQUIPMENT SUGGESTIONS: Polarizing filters will help
reduce sheen on leaves, and will also help reduce hazy skies
at this altitude. A reflector can help inject light into dim
groves of trees, as appropriate.
