Get ready for a five day exploration of the wonder of the northern Rockies, Montana’s Glacier National Park. This jewel of the park system is a wonderland of lakes, high meadows, serrated peaks, and yes, some glaciers still survive. You'll want to bring everything from your wide angle and telephoto lenses to your macro for this varied landscape.
Comfortable hiking boots are a must, as this workshop includes a number of strenuous hikes on scenic trails. But the payoff is well worth the effort. We’ll explore remote mountain meadows bursting with summer wildflowers, graceful waterfalls and startlingly beautiful aqua-colored lakes.
In addition to the grand vistas of McDonald Lake, Wild Goose Island and Grinnell Lake, we hope to get up-close images of the surprising variety of wildlife, including bighorn sheep, mountain goats, eagles, and maybe even a grizzly bear.
NOTE: This workshop will be conducted at elevations between
3,000 to 6,600 feet. We encourage you to take your time getting
acclimated to the location. Be sure to drink plenty of water,
and also bring a hat and sunscreen.
