© Mark Orlowskiwith LeRoy DeJolie
May 24-28, 2010
Cost: $2,395
Register by:
February 24, 2010

Join LeRoy on an unforgettable trek to one of his favorite places in all Navajoland, a place few others go.

© Dean HueberOur outfitters will transport us via four-wheel drive vehicles to the top of Hunt's Mesa, where you can gaze down upon the vast and varied landscape of Monument Valley. All the necessities including a campfire dinner, will be provided at our private camp overlooking this magnificent view. After enjoying nearly two days in and around Hunt's Mesa, we depart for a day-long tour of Monument Valley itself and trips to Mystery Valley, Teardrop Arch and the Mittens.

Fred NeveuYou will discover graceful, shadow-ridged sand dunes and photograph some of the valley's distinctive formations with such intriguing names as "Ear of the Wind" or "The Sun's Eye." We also hope to visit the home of a Navajo weaver who welcomes us to take pictures as she creates a uniquely designed traditional rug. Learn about dramatic and inspirational light from one of the most passionate teachers of photography you’ll ever encounter.
