PHOTO WORKSHOP - Olympic Peninsula

with Jim Steinberg
July 15-20, 2010
Cost: $2,395
Register by: May 15, 2010

© Instructor Jim SteinbergThe Olympic Peninsula of Northwestern Washington State is home to a vibrant and diverse ecosystem. Jim looks forward to taking you on an unforgettable exploration of the amazing landscapes and fabulous beaches, focusing on the timing and techniques required to make spectacular images in these incredible locations.

George StockingYour journey will begin with a drive from Seattle to Lake Quinault Lodge where we will explore the Quinault Rain Forest and have incredible views of the Olympic Mountains across the lake. Your adventure will continue on to Second Beach for photographs of the surf sculpted driftwood. Kalaloch Lodge beckons us for a view over the pacific and a sunset at Ruby Beach. The Hoh River Valley with the Hoh Rain Forest will yield some powerful images of this phenomenal old growth temperate rain forest.

Leaving the forest behind, we will follow the Sol Duc River to Rialto Beach for more of that spectacular driftwood. There will be opportunities to craft images of the Sol Duc Falls and soak in the hot springs at Sol Duc Hot Springs Lodge before wandering to Port Angeles and Sequim for the abundantly beautiful Lavender fields.
