The workshop departs from and returns to SeaTac, WA. Departure is at 8:00 a.m. and we will be loading gear at 7:30 a.m. If you are from out of town we recommend you book lodging for the night before the workshop begins to ensure you are on time for departure and also the night the workshop ends as you will probably return late in the afternoon or early evening and we would not want you to miss your flight home if you are delayed for any reason.
TENTATIVE ITINERARY

DAY TWO

- After checking into Kalaloch Lodge overlooking the Pacific we値l have the opportunity for lunch and our first critique. Our evening will be spent at Ruby Beach with sunset over the Pacific.
DAY THREE
- Returning to Ruby Beach for the morning to photograph the black cobblestones we値l have ample time to enjoy this area.
- Afterwards, we値l make our way up the Hoh River Valley to the Hoh Rain Forest for the mile+ hike through this phenomenal old growth temperate rain forest.
- Then we値l head to Forks and lunch. Following our check-in we値l wend our way down the lower Sol Duc River to Rialto Beach.
- We値l spend late afternoon and evening photographing there and you値l enjoy a once in a lifetime barbeque dinner on the beach.
DAY FOUR
- We値l hit the beach again at Rialto the following morning for a totally different look.
- After the morning session, we値l have time for another critique before we hit the road once again and find ourselves in the Sol Duc River Valley where we値l lunch on the terrace of the Sol Duc Hot Springs.
- The afternoon will find us making the leisurely 1-mile hike up through old growth Douglas fir to photograph the spectacular Sol Duc Falls.
- Upon returning, we値l have the opportunity to soak our weary bones in the Hot Springs where we値l spend the evening.
DAY FIVE
- The morning will find us working our way down valley with numerous opportunities to photograph some of North America痴 oldest forests, ferns and salmon cascades.
- Back on the main road, we値l drive around beautiful Lake Crescent to Port Angeles, the commercial heart of the Olympic Peninsula.
- After checking in and having lunch, you値l have a chance to wander the old downtown and do any shopping that might be needed.
- Then, we値l head out to Sequim, the lavender capital of North America where we値l have the opportunity to photograph these beautiful fields in full bloom.
- Finally we値l end the day with a farewell dinner surrounded by lavender and local color.
DAY SIX
- Our last day begins early for the 45 minute drive to Hurricane Ridge for sunrise.
- We値l have dramatic views of the Olympic and Cascade Mountains and fields of wildflowers. There may possibly be an opportunity to photograph large herds of deer at close range.

The workshop is expected to return to SeaTac by approximately 5:00 pm. Again we recommend out of town visitors book lodging for this night and return home the following day so you do not risk missing your flight in case we are delayed for any reason.
